My first article[edit]
My first attempt at a wiki article - on any wiki whatsoever! So be nice. Any feedback appreciated, and I will be back to update this page as soon as I can. Sjketch 00:23, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
Location?[edit]
Is there any way to get one more place to judge it's location from? Most of what is NE from Markarth is mountains and valleys, not easily traversable in a straight line.--Asmodean 18:55, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
- Found it, didn't realize it was that close NE, halfway between Markarth and Bthardamz or W SW from Peryite's shrine.--Asmodean 19:14, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
- Bit late, I know, but it's also a more or less straight walk west from the Lovers' stone. 70.122.227.164 00:31, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Level limit?[edit]
At level 38, nothing in this place was higher than a Draugr Scourge except the bosses, while other draugr crypts are regularly spawning Deathlords. The 2 guardians went down about as easily as a Scourge, making me think this dungeon has a level limit. It seems a strange choice, then, to make a level 50 named Dragon Priest the final encounter. A potentially unpleasant surprise for the unprepared! Anyway, if the level limit is somehow knowable it might be useful information for the page. 71.178.115.32 16:50, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- Well I just saw a YouTube video where the place was crawling with Deathlords, so I guess there's no limit after all! 71.178.115.32 17:13, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
article bias[edit]
Before i edit the hell out of how to fight him i want to make sure its ok. The article seems written from the opinion of one person, saying stay close he will go down very easy is not going to be true for everyone and simply putting the game on novice will make it very easy. I feel like the articles should only state facts, such as he uses lighting attacks, and list his weapons/spells that you will face. a mage with 85% resist magic would find him easy from a distance due to resisting his primary attack--Lord.Baal 03:16, 17 July 2012 (UTC)--Lord.Baal 03:16, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- As a general rule, boss strategies don’t belong on any of our articles, especially not place pages. A bit of strategy can go on a quest page (if there’s a crystal clear method), but otherwise it’s up to personal play-style and not for us to decide. As for the example here, you can just delete it – the relevant boss info can be found here, where it belongs. ☺ --Krusty 04:14, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Secret room?[edit]
Okay so I've always wondered what was going on in Ragnvald; once you get down the first two flights of stairs, you will go through a hallway, leading to the main room where Otar is buried. But in this hallway, you can hear axes swinging, just like the trap, except I've never seen them. Is there an explanation for this? Did the dev forget to link the room to the rest of the dungeon? - I heard that trap sound as well - but couldn't find it anywhere. I think it is a bug, but it is probably better to let someone with the CK check it. --Krusty 12:19, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- It's a small side corridor found from below the first bridge, where one of the boss-leveled draugrs are. 83.180.244.199 19:40, 19 October 2012 (GMT)
Skipping skull part[edit]
I believe if you damage Otar while he is in the coffin without the skulls he will bust out, thus bypassing the skull retrieving portion. I used a rune which I then blew up with a different spell. This was on ps3 could someone verify this? — Unsigned comment by 184.60.36.117 (talk) at 03:00 on 28 July 2012
Doesn't work on PC. You can, however, make Saerek jump out by setting a fire run right next to his sarcophagus without taking his skull first - I just did that myself. WalkerInShadows1 (talk) 00:23, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
